Economic Development

The City of New Iberia have implemented an Economic Development Team, which consists of the city’s Director of Public Works, the Fire Chief and Fire Inspector, the Building Official and Director of Planning.

This innovative group of city leaders is "pro-active" in the City’s continued economic growth. The team meets with developers and investors prior to their initial commitment to develop property or prior to their re-location efforts. They respond to questions, offer alternatives and solutions, and assist in reducing the bureaucracy that typically faces a developer prior to and during the construction phases.
