Fence & Deck Permits A fence and deck permit is required to construct fences, decks or other similar structures within The City of New Iberia. Once a complete set of plans for the construction is approved by the New Iberia Inspection Department, a building permit for your fence or deck will be issued. The cost of the permit is $5.00 per $1000 for fences and uncovered decks, and $.11 per square foot for covered decks with a minimum amount of $25.00 for all permits. Additional permits and fees may be required depending on the nature of the project. Fence and deck permits must comply with zoning regulations and easement requirements in your area. |
