Manufactured Home Permits

The moving of manufactured homes require a special permit that can be obtained from the New Iberia Inspection Department. The following conditions must normally be met to obtain a manufactured home permit:

The proposed site must be a Mobile Home Park or a location at which a manufactured home was previously located within the last six (6) months.

Minimum lot size and setbacks along with other zoning requirements must be followed.

A complete set of pictures of the manufactured home must be approved by the Inspection Department.

Only one manufactured home will be permitted on an individual lot.

Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical permits must be obtained prior to location of a manufactured home.

Manufactured home moving permits normally cost $50.00 for a single wide manufactured home and $100.00 for a double wide manufactured home.
