Special Events License

The City of New Iberia is home to many fun and exciting Special Events such as the Sugar Cane Festival, Gumbo Cook Offs, fairs, art walks and annual holiday parades throughout the year.  Many of these events require special permits and licenses depending on the event's offerings.  Individual vendors are required to have Occupational Licenses.  A State Liquor License is required for the sale of liquor/alcohol.  Also, a Special Events Permit is available through the City wherein the immediate area of any permitted special event shall be exempt from the prohibition of consumption of alcoholic beverages on streets and sidewalks.

For more information or to apply for permits or licenses, stop by the City of New Iberia's Tax Office located at 457 E. Main Street, Suite 304, between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, or call them at (337) 369-2341.
