Tree Pruning & Trimming Trees are a wonderful way to beautify the environment and provide shade, but they must be maintained to insure the safety of citizens. The New Iberia Public Works Department operates on a per-call pruning and trimming schedule for all city trees in city public areas or along city streets. Trees are pruned in a way that does not deter growth, but which removes branches and limbs that pose a threat to public safety, either because limbs hang above the road surface or foliage interferes with traffic signs.
For more information, or to report a tree with fallen limbs or branches that pose a safety hazard, contact the Public Works Department located at 1303 J. Allen Daigre Drive, between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, or call (337) 369-2391. |
