Summer Youth Programs The New Iberia Recreation Department offers a wide variety of youth programs and opportunities during the summer. Programs include basketball, volleyball and soccer clinics, summer fun camp, summer day camp, extreme adventure camp, swimming lessons, softball, tee ball, archery, crochet, drama, crafts and baking. Registration for summer programs varies depending on when the program starts. A Summer Program Guide will be available in May. The guide will give a complete list of signups that are available at each registration session. Fees vary for each program. In addition to these programs, the department also hosts open gyms in the Cyr-Gates and Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Centers.
