Facility Rentals

The New Iberia Parks & Recreation Department has several facilities for public rental.

The Cyr-Gates Community Center in City Park has a number of options including, but not limited to, the Oak Room, the Cypress Room, the Teen Side, and the Gym. Rental for the Oak Room is $50.00 for four (4) hours during regular business hours and $20.00 extra for each additional hour outside of business hours. Use of the kitchen is an additional $30.00.  Rental fees may vary according to the event.

The Senior Citizens Building located on Marie Street is also available for rental. The cost is $75.00 for four (4) hours during regular business hours, and $20.00 extra for each hour outside of regular business hours. Fees may vary according to the event.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center in West End Park has several rental options including the Meeting Room, the Teen Side and the Gym. The Meeting Room is $50.00 for four (4) hours during regular business hours and $20.00 for each additional hour outside of regular business hours. Use of the kitchen is an additional $30.00.  Rental fees may vary according to the event.

The Sliman Theater for the Performing Arts is owned by the City of New Iberia. It is located at 129 East Main Street, in downtown New Iberia.  The New Iberia Parks and Recreation Department is in charge of the facility rentals and programming.  Rental of the Sliman Theater is limited to performances, receptions, workshops, seminars and exhibits. 

All inquiries regarding rentals should be directed to either the Cyr-Gates Community Center or the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center. The first step to renting is to call or visit the New Iberia Recreation Department offices:  City Park, 300 Parkview Drive, (337) 369-2337 or West End Park, 1200 Field Street, (337) 369-2394 between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
